I think there comes a time when we should indulge in activities we do not particularly enjoy in order to expand our horizons and thereby enhance our life experiences. For me, this would be camping. As much as I enjoy nature in all its splendor, the thought of camping makes me come apart at the seams. Nevertheless, I made the journey with my wife to visit our in-laws in Gaylord, Michigan where I enjoyed surprisingly tasty food along with some good photographic opportunities. Within a mile away was Otsego Lake State Park which provides a great venue to spend a warm summer day. This pier serves as a great vantage point for observing nearby wildlife, nature, and endless sunsets. My willingness to endure new experiences opened me to a whole new world and I am very thankful for that.
